Anna started out in film photography 22 years ago and has not looked back since.

Anna works both with mostly natural light, she prefers to capture the beauty and realism that natural light provides.

C&B are Engaged – Ottawa Wedding Photographer

Today I had the wonderful opportunity to meet C&B for an engagement shoot. The couple wanted to go to MacKenzie King Estate for their photos and I have to say it was a fabulous choice. Although not super cold out today, the wind whipped around the top of the mountain/hill making it seem much colder than it really was. The sun came out, there was fresh snow on the ground and it was a beautiful morning for photos.

C & B are EngagedHaving never been to MacKenzie King Estate in the Winter before, I have to say it is just lovely.  The ruins stand out against the white snow and although there were other people cross country skiing on the trails, we really didn’t run into anyone other than in the parking lot. We had the Estate to ourselves.

And just look at how much in love these two are!  What a beautiful couple both inside and out. If it hadn’t been quite so cold, I am sure I could have photographed them all day long.

We tried to stop in at the Chelsea Pub, but we were a wee bit early for lunchtime so we sat outside on their porch instead.

Fuchsia Factory/Marry Me Productions – Ottawa Event Photographer

Monday night was Fuchsia Factory night and what a treat we had. The location of our meeting was at Marry Me Productions and The White Dress storefront location on Preston Street. Since I will be celebrating twelve years married in May, I won’t be having the opportunity to wear one of these gorgeous gowns again. Unless of course it is all for fun.

We were treated to an elegant table surrounded by some of the top wedding dresses available to Brides today. Oddly enough we had two newly engaged Ladies join us for some networking last night. Here’s hoping they stop by The White Dress again to try a few on.

Another fabulous group of women, some I have met before and others that were out for their first time. Such an amazing way to meet and connect with other entrepreneurs in the area.

Mom to Be – Ottawa Maternity Photographer

I had the absolute pleasure to photograph this gorgeous Lady and her beautiful belly on Wednesday. We had a lovely day, perfectly overcast light was streaming in through the large windows of her home and she just glowed.

I really enjoyed capturing so many sides of her. With a few wardrobe changes and moving around the house you can see how she is both elegant and fun. We had some good laughs about our boys who are similar in age as well as the fact that they are very tall for their age.

Another boy is on the way and he is already measuring ahead of his gestational age. We did this maternity shoot a few weeks early so Mom to be could enjoy the shoot while she is still feeling great.

I am already looking forward to meeting this little guy who will certainly be well loved and cared for by his Mom, Dad and older brother.

Rock Your Camera – Spring Edition

With another successful Rock Your Camera last weekend, I thought it would be best to put it out there that I have a Spring Edition. Two seats have already been filled, but there is room for four more attendees. Join us Saturday, April 9th from 10am -2pm.

The details are as follows:

This is a beginner class. This class is targeted specifically for those with a DSLR camera. If you have a hard time getting the best light, the clearest photos or just want to take your camera off of Auto mode and learn how to be more creative, this class is for you.

In this four hour class I will cover the basics of ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed. We will explore why you are not getting the results you want and fix that. It doesn’t matter if you shoot Canon or Nikon, the principles are the same. What matters is that we want you to get better photos.

In this class you will also have the opportunity to practice what you have learned before you leave.  There will be follow up feedback from your photos to ensure that you got the results you were looking for.
