I am so excited to share these photos with you! This lovely couple are expecting their first baby and I kind of feel like I am part of the family, I wanted to say “surrogate Grandma” but that would just make me sound much older than I am. You see I had the amazing opportunity to photograph their wedding back in June of 2009. And what a gorgeous wedding it was. I lovingly show potential Brides and Grooms the album from their special day and I have a rather large canvas up on my studio wall, a little something to remind me of how amazing their day was.
Well the time has arrived that they are growing their family. Not much has changed, they are still such a lovely and loving couple and now they are ready to share that love with a tiny new person. It was such a joy to get the call to come over and capture them before their newest arrival makes his appearance.
I am so honoured, thank you both for having me into your home and I look forward to meeting the newest member of your family!

Growing up – Ottawa Family Photographer
Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011This little girl is growing up so fast! We were first introduced to her Mom Erin back in November when she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her sweet little girl. Then Willow arrived and we got to see just how sweet she really was. Now eight months later she is growing up. We had lots of fun together, trying to coax a smile or laugh from her. I got to witness some dancing and singing and not just from Willow.
It was lovely to see Erin again and see how wonderful she is with her daughter. Motherhood has surely come naturally to Erin. She is still glowing but instead of that pregnancy glow, she has that motherhood glow, the one that says, “I am so in love with my little girl”.
Such a joy to capture Willow again, I am looking forward to her 1st birthday already, when we get to do this again.

Baby on the Way – Ottawa Maternity Photographer
Wednesday, May 18th, 2011Another gorgeous Mom-to-Be on the blog today. It won’t be long now and this Mom-to-be will be welcoming her new baby into the world. It doesn’t happen too often anymore, but they have decided to wait for the arrival to find out whether they are having a boy or a girl. Congratulations go out to them both for holding onto that one surprise when it is so easy these days to find out and plan ahead.
We had a lovely time chatting and sharing stories of pregnancy. The light was just right even if there was a little rain falling over the city.
Taking the time to capture the beauty that is having a baby is one of the most precious things. Once the baby arrives we often don’t feel like having our pictures taken or simple just don’t find the time. This last little bit of free time before becoming a new Mom is special and I feel honored to be able to share in it.

And Baby Makes Four – Ottawa Maternity Photographer
Thursday, May 12th, 2011I had the utmost pleasure to capture this gorgeous family last weekend. They are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their newest family member. A baby boy arriving in the next seven or eight weeks. Mom is just glowing and looking gorgeous, I truly enjoyed spending time with them all.
The little guy you see here is quite excited to be a big brother, having just welcomed a new cousin into the world he is quite thrilled to be following suit with a baby brother of his own.
Mom and Dad both are excited and expectant, so nice to capture them here together before the newest one arrives.

Baby H – Ottawa Newborn Photographer
Wednesday, April 20th, 2011We met Mom just a few weeks ago, she was glowing and radiant and awaiting the arrival of the newest member of thee family. We knew he may come a little earlier than expected so we were ready. And what a gorgeous little boy he is. So sweet and cuddly, he was a joy to work with.
I simply could not resist getting close to his gorgeous lips, he will be a charmer for sure in his later years fighting off the girls from all angles.
He slept so well for us, I just couldn’t believe Mom when she was saying they had been up a lot the night before. Or perhaps that is why he slept so well, either way I know he is such a blessing to Mom, Dad and his older Brother (who was at school that day) and he will bring so much joy to their lives.
A huge thank you to Mom and Dad for having me over to capture this beautiful time. You are both so wonderful and your love for each other and your children just shines through. I look forward to sharing the rest of the photos with you.
