I was so honored to be contacted by this fabulous family to capture them for their first ever visit to my favorite beach. Rehoboth Beach is such a huge part of my life, it is my second home. When I was first contacted to capture this family, who were in town for a wedding, there was no way we would know that they were there for one of the hottest weeks on record. With the humidex the temperatures were up in the low 100F’s almost every day and there was no relief at night. The ocean was already 74F, which is usually the temperature that it reaches by late August early September. So when we met at 5pm on a Thursday, the beach was still quite crowded, not something that usually happens on that section of the beach at that time of night. Thankfully a family had just packed up and left us a little room to get some fabulous images with the ocean so blue behind us.

As we grow up and have children of our own, it gets harder and harder to do the things we did when we were younger. But, what an amazing family they were. Troopers for sure to get dressed for photos in such extreme heat.
In addition to having their children in attendance, they also had their chilrens families with them. Granddaughters were loving the sand and wishing they were in the ocean cooling off, what a treat to have their grandchildren close by!

I am so happy you had a great time in Rehoboth, I know you visited a few of my favorite restaurants and got to enjoy my most enjoyable part, basking in the sunshine on the beautiful sand and enjoying a dip in the ocean. It was such a treat to meet you all, and I hope to see you all again on another fabulous vacation.
